Nigma Galaxy might have declined to participate in the Games of the Future 2024 due to potential roster changes. It is also possible that Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi felt that this tournament was not worth the effort.
This assumption was made by Johan "Gorgc" Stephansson during a Twitch broadcast. The corresponding segment of his statement was posted on the YouTube channel Ez Dotes.
"Perhaps Miracle felt that it wasn't worth it to go there. And he's like, ****, bro. Maybe they don't even have a roster, who knows what's going on with Nigma right now"
He emphasized that if they are not participating in this tournament, they won't be playing Dota 2 for some time, hinting that they failed to qualify for DreamLeague Season 22 and ESL One Birmingham 2024.
Dota 2 Games of the Future 2024 matches will start on February 19, and they will conclude on February 25. Teams will compete for a prize pool of 1 million dollars. Recall that
Nigma Galaxy initially announced their participation in the tournament but later withdrew.
Geek Fam will replace them in the tournament.
