Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko, the carry player for
BetBoom Team, admitted that he won't be participating in the parallel tournament at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 due to his dislike for the new rules.
He revealed this in a new vlog for the team, published on the club's YouTube channel.
"I'm too lazy to play any heroes other than Shadow Fiend. And even playing him with coiling on the first level is too bothersome now. This is not old-school. Everyone knows that the most reasonable rules are the ones that were there before. No faeries, no mangos. Souls [at the first level]. Those are the true rules. Everything else is nonsense"
Interestingly, he is not the first esports player to dislike the 1x1 format at BetBoom Dacha. Earlier, Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak also expressed negative opinions about the rules of the one-on-one duels, calling it outdated.
Nevertheless, the BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024: Solo Tournament still proved to be very popular, with 40 participants from different teams registering for the tournament in Dota 2.
