After the release of patch 7.36a, Valve significantly changed the stats of several heroes, as well as the mechanics of their abilities and aspects that became new mechanics in Dota 2. The balance adjustments have radically altered the win rate of some characters, which has also shifted the game's meta.
According to statistics from the DotaBuff portal, most of the top-rated heroes have been replaced by new characters after the release of patch 7.36a.
The new meta of patch 7.36a:
Void Spirit
Templar Assassin
Tiny
Chaos Knight
Juggernaut
The standout of the latest patch is
Void Spirit, who surged ahead and surpassed the closest competitor,
Templar Assassin, by more than 4%. Thanks to its aspect SANCTUARY, the barrier can now absorb all types of damage, significantly increasing the hero's survivability.
Templar Assassin remains a powerhouse in the patch thanks to REFRACTOR. This aspect allows her to absorb and deal a tremendous amount of damage, making her an ideal hero for solo play as well.
Tiny also emerged as a surprising discovery, quickly rising in matchmaking to one of the leading positions in win rate. Both of his aspects have made the hero more durable and capable of dealing decent area damage.
Chaos Knight is now great for scouting due to PHANTASMAGORIA, which makes all of his illusions strong. The hero has become more popular in matches and has raised his win rate to 52.94%.
Juggernaut entered the meta immediately after the release of patch 7.36 but slightly lost positions after the latest update, dropping to fifth place in the hero effectiveness rating.
Recall that Valve previously released the new patch 7.36a, which fixed many issues from the previous patch.
