After the release of patch 7.41c, the Dota 2 meta shifted noticeably. Valve nerfed many of the dominant heroes from the previous update such as
Lone Druid,
Phoenix and
Monkey King, while a new group of heroes climbed to the top of the win rate charts.
This is shown by statistics from DotaBuff.

The biggest winner of the patch was
Elder Titan. The hero received buffs to Echo Stomp, and his win rate skyrocketed to 54.81% — an increase of +5.50%. Right now, he is one of the strongest supports and teamfight heroes in matchmaking, especially against tanky melee carries.
Timbersaw also saw a surprisingly large rise. Despite receiving only modest buffs, the hero gained nearly +4.87% win rate and now sits at 48.50%. Timbersaw performs extremely well against popular strength heroes and has once again become a nightmare in lane.
Sniper has also returned to the meta. His win rate climbed to 53.50% (+4.01%), and the hero is once again dominating pubs thanks to his strong late game and comfortable positioning-based playstyle. After the nerfs to several mobile heroes, playing Sniper has become significantly easier.
Dark Willow became one of the best supports of the patch. The hero received a Terrorize buff, while her win rate increased to 51.73% (+3.42%). Willow is especially strong in extended fights and fits perfectly into the slower pace of the current meta.
Among carry heroes,
Chaos Knight unexpectedly emerged as one of the strongest picks. After buffs to Chaos Strike, his win rate rose to 52.96% (+3.18%). The hero is once again capable of quickly deleting targets and heavily punishing weak lanes.
The current patch clearly shifted the meta toward strong teamfight heroes, durable cores, and powerful supports with reliable control. If you want to gain MMR quickly in 7.41c,
Elder Titan,
Sniper,
Dark Willow, and
Chaos Knight currently look like some of the safest and strongest options.
