Amer “Miracle-” al-Barkawi and Ammar “ATF” al-Assaf got awards for the achievements of the Jordan national Dota 2 team, even though they didn’t play a single match for the roster at IESF West Asia 2025.
The details of the ceremony were published in a press release by the Jordan Olympic Committee.
Both players were listed as substitute members of the Jordan team, but in the end never played in the tournament. Nevertheless, this did not stop the esports players from receiving such an honorable award.

Notably, while ATF achieved success on the Dota 2 pro scene last year and even became a world champion, Miracle hasn’t played since February 2025. On social media many found it strange that Miracle received an award for achievements in Dota 2 last year, even though he basically didn’t play, and it’s still unclear if he will return to the pro scene.
It is also worth noting that the Jordan team took third place at IESF West Asia 2025, losing to the rosters of Iran and Lebanon. Also important, the players did not earn any prize money, as the championship had no prize pool.
