MiCKe Addresses an Issue with Team Liquid’s Performance at the Esports World Cup 2026

Michael “miCKe” Wu stated that Team Liquid players devoted a lot of attention to preparing for the 2026 Esports World Cup during boot camp, but the team’s strategies stopped working at the tournament due to changes in the meta.

The player made this statement on Twitch.

“I think we had a great boot camp. But sometimes you arrive at a tournament and the meta has already changed. Everything that worked perfectly at boot camp stopped working here. So now we’re adapting and trying to figure out how best to play under these new conditions.

We’re trying not to set any expectations. We’re just focusing on each upcoming game, giving it our all, and hoping to go as far as possible.”

According to Michael “miCKe” Wu, the team is currently having to adapt to the new meta, which is why Team Liquid players are trying to figure out how best to play under the current conditions. Because of this, the team has no expectations for its performance at the Esports World Cup, but the roster is trying to give its all in every match.
