What is MetaMask?
MetaMask is an online wallet that allows you to receive, keep or send your cryptocurrency. It works as an extension for Google Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge browsers. In an analogy, MetaMask is like your banking app but in crypto. Like any other wallet, Metamask is used to pay for any services on the crypto market. The wallet has the ERC-20 protocol standard. It allows you to store all cryptocurrencies based on the Ethereum network. Examples of these are BNB, Polygon, Sandbox, and many others. Metamask is currently the most popular crypto wallet. According to Bloomberg, the MetaMask browser extension had over 21 million monthly active users.
Why is it needed?
Metamask has several main functions, the first and most important is, of course, buying something with cryptocurrency. Basically, Ethereum is used for payment. For example, you want to buy NFT and resell it at a higher price. To do this, you just need to have some ETH in your wallet, link it to the site and confirm the transaction. Another main function is the storage of funds. Metamask is an online wallet and is inferior to offline wallets in terms of security. Instead, it is very convenient, easy to use, and available anywhere at any time. Another use is naturally getting money. You can participate in various giveaways and competitions related to cryptocurrency. In order to receive your Airdrops, you will need to enter your wallet, which will most often be Metamask. Last but not least are transfers of cryptocurrency. This can be done in just two clicks, all you need is a wallet in the same network and some money for the transfer commission.
How to create MetaMask?
To create a wallet on a PC, go to https://metamask.io/
Click ‘Download’ in the top right corner
After that, you will be redirected to the page with downloading the MetaMask extension, click "Install"
Next, you will be redirected to a page where you can download applications for your browser or mobile phone for iOS or Android. We select the first one (in this case, we will show an example of installation in the Google Chrome browser).
Click on "Install MetaMask for Chrome".
After that, you will be redirected to the page with downloading the MetaMask extension, click "Install"

Wait until you are redirected to the next page. After downloading and installing, you will see creating a wallet page. A fox icon will also appear in the upper right corner.

At the next stage, we create a password, we need to remember it, but it is better to write it down (we will have to enter this password every time we enter MetaMask applications). The password must be strong and contain at least 8 characters.

On this page, click on the lock icon that says "click here to show secret words"
It is recommended to keep the secret phrase on a piece of paper or (this is very important, this phrase is the only way to restore your wallet, so make several copies and keep it in a safe place). After you have rewritten the words, check again their order and accuracy, and then click the "Next" button.
At this point, you will be asked to repeat the secret phrase. To do this, you need to choose words one by one according to your phrase.

Check and click "Confirm".
If you did everything right, you will be redirected to the tab where you will need to click on the "All done" button.
You will be redirected to the newly created wallet.
To get access to the wallet, click on the fox icon in the upper right corner of the browser.
After you fix the MetaMask permission, click on the fox icon (MetaMask) and your wallet window will be opened.
MetaMask has the Ethereum network as a default. This wallet can be used to send and receive different tokens, even if you connect to another network such as Binance Smart Chain. The wallet is displayed in the top center block. To copy it you should click on it as shown in the screenshot below.
How to add Binance Smart Chain

Network Name: Smart Chain
New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
Network ID: 56
Symbol: BNB
Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com

Click Save.
After that, you will open a BSC network wallet. After that accepts BNB tokens.
