Mauisnake criticized Karrigan's gameplay, stating that he is no longer a Tier 1 player

Alex “Mauisnake” Ellenberg stated that Finn “Karrigan” Andersen’s skill level has fallen below what is expected of a Tier 1 player.

The analyst made this statement on X.

“I don’t often hear this in discussions about the best captains, but that’s exactly why my assessment of in-game leaders will always include an element of how well they perform individually.

There is a certain minimum standard of play, and Karrigan has fallen below it. His level is too low to win at the Tier 1 level.”

According to Alex “Mauisnake” Ellenberg, his assessment focuses not on Finn “Karrigan” Andersen’s leadership qualities, but on the esports player’s individual skill level. The analyst believes that the player’s current skill level does not meet the minimum required to win at the Tier 1 level of the CS2 pro scene.
