The professional Chinese Dota 2 player, Lin "Doodle" Zikai, has stated that more than half of the players in the DPC CN 2023 Tour 3: Division II (中国联赛A级) are involved in match-fixing.
This information was shared on the CN Dota In A Nutshell Twitter page. It is noted that while around 70% of the participants have been involved in contract matches, high-level professional esports players refuse to engage in such schemes.
Doodle mentioned that approximately 70% of players from CN DPC div2 are participating in contract matches. He stated that high-level players never do this, but many losers still do it for the sake of money
Valve has not yet officially responded to these allegations. This could potentially lead to a significant scandal, as it casts a shadow over the Dota Pro Circuit, which the creators of Dota 2 have decided to discontinue in the upcoming season.
