The last match of
Virtus.pro at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 was marked by numerous issues. The encounter against
Gaimin Gladiators experienced more than 5 pauses, significantly exhausting the players.
All these moments were captured in the official match broadcast on Twitch.
The likely cause of the problems was packet loss in Dota 2. The technical staff had to stop the game multiple times to try and address the issue. Judging by the footage, the constant game pauses were wearing out the players.
At some point, Quinn "Quinn" Callahan, GG's midlaner, couldn't bear it and even expressed his feelings about the situation in the general chat. His club shared a screenshot of it on their Twitter.
"Let's play with packet loss? I really don't want to waste my life like this"
His teammates also looked extremely tired, and the technical staff approached Quinn's computer to fix the situation. Nevertheless, the pauses continued almost until the end of the confrontation, although the situation improved on the second map.
At some point, Quinn's emotions began to escalate, and he started humiliating his opponents directly from the team's booth, making indecent gestures and openly showing his superiority over the opponents.
