Mark "Mangekyou" Kharlamov, previously of
Shopify Rebellion, etched his name in history by becoming the first player to breach the 17,000 mark on MMR, setting a record on the Dota 2 professional scene.
The esports athlete posted a screenshot of the number on his Telegram channel, celebrating the achievement by saying:
“17k reached. Got it using 3 heroes — Beastmaster, TB, and NS. Don’t think I’ll grind much more. 10+ minute queues are tiring, just a waiting room with BP resets”
Mangekyou admitted he was able to reach such a high rating thanks to three heroes:
Beastmaster,
Terrorblade, and
Night Stalker. According to him, he’s not sure if he’ll continue grinding, as the long queue times are starting to wear him out.

Interestingly, even with this absurdly high MMR, Mangekyou is only ranked second on the EU Dota 2 leaderboard. He trails behind suspicious MMR booster tv/deepdoto, although nothing has been confirmed.
As a reminder recently Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk opened up on why he was so unhappy the two days leading up to ESL One Raleigh 2025.
