Valve was advised by Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov that Dota 2 should have a mode with standard animations, because many new effects do not improve the game’s visual look and even slow down high-performance graphics cards.
He made this suggestion during a Twitch stream.
“In Dota 2 we need money for a mode with regular item animations”
This is more than just a joke; it refers to Valve’s innovations. Some heroes have been given new skills or their old ones have been changed, resulting in uncommon visual effects. There are some of these effects that stress the video card, so the game gets jerky.
This problem was therefore brought up by the
Team Spirit manager to show how it hampers gaming experiences and may also affect match outcomes.
It will be remembered that patch 7.36a has previously been released by Valve to fix bugs from its last major Dota 2 update.
