Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak, the midlaner for Team Falcons, revealed that the organization initially planned to sign Syed "SumaiL" Hassan instead of him, but ultimately chose him for the team.

The esports player shared this during an interview on the YouTube channel LABELCOM.

"Our paths crossed mostly because we had Ammar. To put it this way, Falcons were considering another midlaner, more eastern. That was SumaiL. But I got pushed through. They said they wanted to play with me"

According to him, Team Falcons had planned to bring in SumaiL, a true Dota 2 legend, for the mid position. However, the team ultimately decided they wanted to play with Malr1ne. It seems that Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf, who likely recommended his former teammate, played a significant role in this decision.

Nevertheless, SumaiL did play for Team Falcons during ESL One Birmingham 2024 when Malr1ne was unable to secure his visa in time for the tournament.

It’s worth noting that Malr1ne previously surprised fans with details about the financial support for his team's players.
