Magician: «Salaries in CIS are noticeably lower than in Europe»

Alexey «Magician» Slabukhin - CEO of HellRaisers spoke about the salaries of players in eSports disciplines and the main factors that are considered when signing a player's contract.

When signing a player, the club evaluates several factors at once. The main one is the game form of a person, the professional qualities of the player and his ability to work in a team. In addition, the background in the previous club, media coverage and transfer liquidity. With regard to transfer liquidity (or transfer attractiveness), this is an indicator of how profitably a player can be sold in the future, if for some reason, he wants to leave the club. Purely logically and mathematically, it is clear that young players in the long run can cost more than old ones. If a young player is sitting on the bench, then someone may need him more likely than the same old man who has already played in different clubs and is no longer needed by anyone. Such moments can also influence the formation of the starting roster. When assessing the prospects, including the value of a player, first of all, his performance for the last club is taken into account, and not his entire career. When a player is bought, and he has not taken root in the roster, the price of his contract will drop, because the question arises banally: "Why didn't he suit you?" As for the media component when signing a player, it is assessed individually each time. And the moments associated with media activities are prescribed in the contract. For example, HellRaisers has a point about streaming. For some players, we made separate media contracts.

Salaries in CIS are noticeably lower than in Europe. In CIS, I think, $15-20 thousand can receive, maybe a couple of people - this is the maximum, the rest get much lower. In Europe, perhaps, salaries of 10-15 people reach the level of $15-20 thousand. The salaries of Europeans can start from $5-6 thousand and will not play for $700. The question of salaries is variable: the market situation is assessed, whether other organizations want to sign this player, how the negotiations will take place, the player's skill, etc. At the same time, do not forget about the bonuses that exist in almost all clubs.
