Maelstorm PGL Wallachia Season 1

Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov warned that the matches at PGL Wallachia Season 1 will run one after another, rather than following a set schedule. Therefore, some matches may start significantly earlier.

The Dota 2 commentator and analyst shared this information on his Telegram channel.

"At the tournament, 16 teams will play Swiss rounds until they reach either 3 wins or 3 losses. The Swiss format is a system where teams with similar records (1-1, 2-0, etc.) compete against each other. 8 teams advance to the upper bracket playoffs, where matches (except for the final) are best of 3. The other 8 teams are eliminated"

The commentator also noted that teams will first play in the Swiss system, where the first 8 teams will be eliminated. Maelstorm emphasized the importance of keeping an eye on the broadcasts to avoid missing the start of an interesting series, as they may begin earlier than scheduled.

"The tournament will be streamed in 2 streams. In the first 5 days, one stream will cover the matches. Games start at 10:00 AM Moscow time, with matches running back-to-back, not according to the schedule. It's quite possible that the third series of the day will start earlier than planned. Don't miss the important games"

The commentator also mentioned that the tournament will be unique due to a significant number of substitutions and other nuances that distinguish the event from others.

It's worth noting that earlier, STORM commented on the peculiarities of new Dota 2 tournaments announced by BLAST.
