Vladimir “Maelstorm” Kuzminov has claimed that it would be nearly impossible to replace Oliver “Skiter” Lepko, primarily due to
Team Falcons style of play.
He posted this on his Telegram channel:
“There are rumors that Skiter might be replaced. Let's assume it's true.
I'm NOT sure that a stronger carry player would actually improve Team Falcons. They have a very specific playstyle—with these massive supports and a greedy offlane. Moreover, the player would need to be insanely good at Dota, not just in terms of mechanics (though that too), but also in terms of game understanding. Otherwise, he’ll just be floundering around like **** in an ice hole. In short, it's not an easy replacement”
As for
Team Falcons, he believes that they can get a stronger carry, but it does not helps aid the team in any way. Since the condition of their offlaner and sk Supports is what it is, replacing Skiter is not an easy task.
Regarding Maelstrom's statement, he has pointed out that the credibility of these studies is questionable. But then again, should the team go through with the change, they face a problem.
Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev also has some things to say regarding the suspension of Skiter from
Team Falcons.
