LGD Gaming explained the situation with the refusal to pay Emo's salary

LGD Gaming reported that they paid the transfer of Zhou “Emo” Yi, and the rest of the salary the player refused voluntarily, after which the parties signed a contract on the absence of mutual claims.

The corresponding statement was made on the official page of the cyber sports club on Weibo.

“At present, there is no economic disagreement between the two sides about Emo's salary.

When Emo joined LGD, the club paid for his transfer. Therefore, Emo himself later offered to give up his remaining salary and cancel his contract with the club. After friendly negotiations, both parties reached a consensus and officially signed the termination agreement on March 21 this year. The agreement makes it clear that all monetary issues of both parties have been settled without any dispute.”

The organization also stated that the community misinterpreted and spread the information, after which club officials contacted the player to discuss a joint position on the situation.

“Public opinion on the matter was misinterpreted by the internet.

As soon as talk of Emo's salary began, the club contacted the player. Both sides reached a consensus to issue a statement.”

A few days before that, Zhou “Emo” Yi said that LGD Gaming owed him several tens of thousands of dollars, and also talked about problems with the payment of his salary from Invictus Gaming.

Recall that according to information from Vladimir “Maelstorm” Kuzminov, Zhou “Emo” Yi may soon join Team Secret Dota 2 roster.
