Larl revealed why his teammates entrusted him to be the first to lift the Aegis at TI12

Denis "Larl" Sigitov stated that he was the first to lift the Aegis at The International 2023 winners' ceremony because the other members of the team were reluctant to take the lead.

The midlaner of Team Spirit made this statement in an exclusive interview with Esports publishers.

"My teammates go and say, 'You can, you can do it. Go first.' I respond, 'Maybe it's unnecessary. No, no, no, let someone else go ahead of me.' They continue to insist, 'No, you first. You first!' Alright, if you want me to go first, then I'll go first."

At The International 2023, Team Spirit confidently secured the first-place position, defeating all opponents in the group stage and upper bracket playoffs. However, their performance at the recent BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 championship was less successful. The team dropped to the lower bracket in the first playoff match and, following a defeat to Azure Ray in the second round, exited the tournament. Despite these setbacks, Team Spirit remains one of the main favorites in the DreamLeague Season 22 tournament.

Recall that earlier, Tundra Esports' support player, Edgar "9Class" Naltakyan, became the eighth player to reach a 13,000 MMR milestone in Dota 2.
