Denis "Larl" Sigitov, the midlaner for Team Spirit, stated that the team's drafts in the playoffs of The International 2024 were completely unsuitable for him, preventing him from gaining an advantage over his opponents. This could be seen as a hint that the one responsible for the hero picks at the tournament might be to blame for the team’s defeat.

He shared this during an interview with the DLTV portal.

"I feel like I played well on my heroes in most of the games. But when the playoffs began, my characters just stopped being picked. I was on some Batrider, didn’t get to play meta Earth Spirit. We kept picking DK for mid, though I always thought of him as a carry hero. These were just not the right heroes for me to play on. It was tough. The opponents had a stronger start, more pressure, and I just couldn’t make it work for myself"

Larl directly mentioned that the problem lay in the drafts and that he was against picking certain heroes, which he felt not only didn’t suit him but were more suited to the carry position. This was likely a hint that the person responsible for the drafts was at fault for the team’s loss.

It’s worth noting that Team Spirit captain, Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov, has emphasized multiple times that he and the coach, Airat "Silent" Gaziev, are in charge of the team’s drafts.

The world champion mentioned that the unfamiliar heroes picked for him prevented him from reaching his full potential, and noted that opponents often had a draft advantage, impacting Team Spirit overall results at TI13.

Earlier, it was reported that Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk was pushed to his limit and even left a Dota 2 match mid-game.
