Dota 2 players discovered a new bug with the hero
Largo, which allows freezing up to five enemy neutral creep camps for the entire game. The issue is connected to the hero’s ultimate — the summoned frogs, after disappearing, leave “phantom” units, which the server still counts, blocking the camp spawn.
This was reported on Reddit, where the problem was described.
The situation repeats an old
Phantom Lancer shard bug. The frogs disappear visually, but the server still thinks the spot is occupied. One ultimate can summon up to five frogs, allowing to completely neutralize up to five enemy camps.
To exploit the bug, players do the following: reach level 6, enter the camp zone, use the ultimate several times, and block the camp for the rest of the match. For the next camps, the ultimate is used with fewer frogs. At the same time, reusing the ultimate “unfreezes” only as many units as stacks gathered in the new cast.
The optimal strategy — block four camps, leaving one frog in reserve. This allows alternating successful and unsuccessful ultimates, keeping most frogs frozen and continuing pressure on the opponent.
Valve hasn’t commented on the bug yet, but the community is already actively discussing its impact on the game economy and strategic possibilities in matches. Nevertheless, given the seriousness of the situation, developers may release a fix soon.
