Team Spirit manager, Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov recently shared his thoughts on
Gaimin Gladiators and the Dota 2 pro scene claiming they have no EPT points to lose, which means they can facilitate serious roster changes, albeit to their detriment.
Korb3n shared his thinking on the subject with his followers over Telegram.
“Gladiators. Overall, they have to play all the qualifiers, they’re not going to ESL One Raleigh, they have no points, so they can reshuffle. They’ll probably play like bots,” said Korb3n, “But this is a team that has shown remarkable bot performance after The International”
Using a more blunt approach, he claimed the
Gaimin Gladiators bottom-tier gameplay post The International 2024 has resulted in ruined roster moves which have left the team in a bad place. Now, any further changes to the roster will have a minimal impact or further worsen the team’s deteriorating state.
Korb3n was rather bold in claiming that restacking without EPT points or tournament slots is inconsequential for
Gaimin Gladiators. And while it is true, he surely meant not changing the overall outcome for the team of core players.
It’s worth noting that earlier, Collapse mentioned the reason for
Team Spirit loss, commenting on
Gaimin Gladiators.
