Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov stated that Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk didn’t want to take a break because he found enough motivation within himself to keep playing.
The
Team Spirit manager made this statement on Twitch.
“He didn’t want to take a break. As for where his motivation comes from—it’s best to ask him. He’s very athletic, which is great.”
Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov also reflected on the workload of a professional Dota 2 player, noting that while esports athletes don’t get bogged down in a daily routine, their schedule is much more intense than that of most other professions. The
Team Spirit manager is convinced that professional players handle a very heavy workload.
“Yes. I’ve had regular jobs before. I can say that it’s more demanding. I worked for five years before esports, and then some more… I don’t really count side gigs as actual work. Over the course of three months, you don’t really realize how tired you are.
Yes, an esports player’s schedule is definitely more demanding—100%. It might not often fall into a routine, but in terms of the volume of work, it’s definitely more demanding.”
As a reminder, Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov previously compared the individual training levels of Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk and Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov.
