Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov said that he had an interview for the position of manager of the
Virtus.pro Dota 2 team, to which he was 5 minutes late, which may not have been appreciated by the organization's representatives.
The
Team Spirit manager shared this on Twitch.
"I also had an interview scheduled at
Virtus.pro. I was five minutes late. And they asked questions like: what to do if the players ordered McDonald's.
It was an interview at
Virtus.pro in 2016. By the way, I was five minutes late, and it seems that it bothered them. But anyway, I'll tell you about the question."
Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov also stated that during the interview, representatives of the esports organization asked him a question to test his competence in matters of esports organization management. This question seemed very absurd to the
Team Spirit manager, since he was asked to find a way out of a situation that could not happen in practice, which he directly stated to the interviewer.
"In short, the question was: what would you do if, at a LAN tournament, the team was staying at a hotel, the players ordered McDonald's, but the hotel wouldn't let you bring it in?
The question was completely strange and absurd, but it was actually asked. Imagine this: you are the team manager, and they are staying, say, at the Radisson on Belorusskaya during the LAN Adrenaline Cyber Rush Cup. The players say, “We want McDonald's.” You order the food, go down to the courier, but the security guards won't let you into the hotel with the bags. What would you do?
No, they checked your backpack, and that's it, no way. “No food allowed.” What are your options? Someone suggested tying the bag to a rope and hoisting it up to their floor. Let's say they're staying on the 35th floor. Someone joked, “Well, eat it yourself.” But, of course, with that answer, you wouldn't be accepted into Virtus.Pro.
It's clear that the situation itself is absurd. I also said at the time, “In what reality could it be that I'm not allowed into the hotel with food? I'll just go in and that's it.”
Let us remind you that earlier, Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov stood up for Alexander “Nix” Levin amid accusations of cheating viewers on the streamer's channel.
