Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, manager of Team Spirit, openly compared Dota 2 and CS2, saying that shooter tournaments look more emotional, because the format of the game disposes to this, but the MOBA itself has no less emotions.

He told about it during a stream on Twitch.

"CS is funnier to watch: shot - cool, aaaaah. The fact that they say that xers are more emotional or whatever - so they have the game favors it.

In Dota, are you going to do that? Are you going to yell during the game? So it's not even shown. You see, CS-ers are shown every 2.5 minutes on a close-up camera. They have a life every round.

In Dota, imagine some dater will also yell something about his opponents, how they're all ****. You could have a game going for 80 minutes - they won't even show you, you'll **** be yelling for the whole 80 minutes.

Dota just doesn't lend itself to that - it's just a different game"

According to him, the very format of Dota 2 matches makes it difficult to show emotion at tournaments. He explained that while players in CS2 are shown twice in 5 minutes in close-up, in Dota 2 the emotions of the players are not shown because the matches are too long.

He noted that if pauses were also introduced in Dota 2, it would add content, emotion and a different atmosphere from the players, but this is not even being worked on. Nevertheless, he emphasized that after raimages players have incredible emotions, but the viewer does not always see them during tournaments.

Recall that earlier Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov frankly compared Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov.
