Dmitry «Korb3n» Belov, manager of
Team Spirit, explained that the main problem of Dota 2 is the economy, so Valve should reconsider the system of rewards for kills and free teleports after death.
He said this during a Twitch stream.
“Dota has been monotonous, probably, for two years. Now Dota is a little bit better than it was before. Before there were literally only 5 heroes. In Dota the main problem is with the economy, in my understanding. They should remove free teleports after death, at least in the first 15 minutes. And redo the system of kills, rewards for kills. Very strange that early kills give almost nothing, but late kills give too much. That’s it, the game’s picture will immediately change”
Korb3n emphasized that right now the main problem is not with hero balance or meta, but exactly with the game’s economy. According to him, Valve should fix free teleports after hero death, and also change rewards for frags in matches.
He said that if in early stage rewards for kills are too small, then in the late game they are already too big, which ruins the economy. The manager believes that if the developers redo these two points, Dota 2 will play in new colors.
