Korb3n explained why Valve didn’t give OG a slot at The International 2025

Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov said that if Yakutou Brothers had not had visas, Valve would have given the slot at The International 2025 to OG. The decision was also influenced by the fact that the WEU region already had too many invites.

The manager of Team Spirit said this during a stream on Twitch.

"Eastern Europe was not invited because no one would have had time to get visas. If Yakutou Brothers had not had visas, then OG would have been taken. I think Valve wrote to everyone and then decided that Yakutou Brothers was the best choice at the moment. Perhaps they have old visas. Or they have some connections"

According to him, teams from EEU did not receive an invitation precisely because of visa difficulties. As a result, Valve decided to give the invite, which was intended for Gaimin Gladiators, to Yakutou Brothers. If they hadn't had visas, Korb3n is sure that the slot would have gone to OG. In addition, the manager does not rule out that hidden factors, including government assistance, could have played a role.
