Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov said that modern Dota 2 lacks the concept of play style, and pro scene teams use the same approach to gameplay because the outcome of matches is decided during the draft phase and in team fights.
The
Team Spirit manager made this statement on Twitch.
“Right now, there are no play styles. Everyone plays exactly the same way. Everything is decided in team fights and drafts. That's it.”
According to Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, he liked
Alliance's approach to the game, as they actively played split push, being one of the few representatives of this style on the Dota 2 pro scene. However, no one practices this approach to gameplay at all now.
“I liked
Alliance. Not because they had a rat dot, but because not many teams played split push back then. And now split push doesn't exist at all. That is, back then,
Alliance and one other team played split push.”
Alliance left professional Dota 2, announcing the disbandment of their last lineup at the end of October last year.
Earlier, Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov called on Valve to add the option of re-selecting heroes in Dota 2 matchmaking for an additional fee.
