Dmitry Korb3n Belov, the head of
Team Spirit, has expressed disbelief in the hype surrounding
Chimera Esports finishing in the top 4 claiming that that the team has had no major success in the Dota 2 professional scene.
He expressed these views in a Twitch stream.
“What success, ****? What success are they talking about? I have a question: what *** success? Again, no negativity, buddy, but everyone is talking about success, and I'm thinking, what *** success? Is reaching top 4 in an online tournament some unbelievable success a secret that needs to be discussed everywhere? In my opinion Chimera’s qualification for LAN events is bigger success”
In Korb3n’s opinion, it is shocking how a top 4 finish for the MENA team has been treated a success, while everything for
Team Spirit such a result would be considered a failure. Also, though he did remember to mention their qualification for the LAN tournament, he did remember that they qualified from the MENA region so there was almost no competition.
"As for fanbases, I can still comprehend it, but even for business purposes...Chimera-Spirit, with regards to the business model, the assets are not so differentiate. Spirit, for top-4 it is a disgrace and a failure, they have to reshuffle immediately, while for Chimera it is a success that legends are made of. Nevertheless, from a business standpoint, the assets aren't so dissimilar on the cost side. Aaaa, they played in MENA, completely forgot, never mind. In any case, I do not see any success here at all"
The manager also noted, however, and it is important for the fans: in their view, the result was good, but the reality is that it is absent for
Chimera Esports.
Let us remind you that the captain of
Team Spirit from the new roster for some reason focused out of Miroslav “Mira” Kolpatov after the success of the new roster.
