Korb3n Comments on Rumors of a Team Falcons Roster Breakup

Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov does not believe Team Falcons’ Dota 2 roster is disbanding.

The Team Spirit manager shared this opinion on Twitch while commenting on rumors that the team would replace all players except Oliver “Skiter” Lepko.

“Rumors that the Falcons are only keeping Skiter? I think these rumors have nothing to do with reality. Can you imagine the budget it would take to stay in the top league—even for the Falcons?

There are still players they simply won’t sell. And what players would actually want to join right now when you have… What’s most important to players? The roster, and then the financial aspect. On top of that, you’d have to buy out all the players—there are no free agents—just to stay in the top league. I think none of this is true.”

According to Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, in order to maintain its position on the pro scene, an esports organization will have to buy out players from other teams for a great deal of money, since there are currently no free agents of the appropriate caliber in the esports discipline. The Team Spirit manager believes that such a decision would be unprofitable for Team Falcons.

As a reminder, according to another insider report, Team Falcons plans to replace Andreas Frank “Cr1t” Nielsen and Oliver “Skiter” Lepko. Additionally, the team’s coach, Curtis “Aui_2000” Lin, may be retiring.
