Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, the manager of
Team Spirit reveals that he stopped observing his team at DreamLeague Season 25 right after they lost out on a slot against Tundra Esports. Dmitry sheds light to why he did so saying that overlooking such matches evokes a lot of emotions, anger being one of them, which is a medical issue for him at this point.
He made these remarks during a Twitch stream.
“I’m really not watching DreamLeague. I’m on vacation. Initially, I was following Spirit’s matches but once they faced Tundra and lost, I started to get very irritated as it was hurting my mental health as emtionally, I was too invested into the matches. I decided not to follow Spirit’s games anymore. I’m on vacation, it does not concern me. Currently, I am not following Dota at all so I definitely am not following Spirit either”
Korb3n clarified that he wishes to take a step back from both Dota 2 and
Team Spirit during his break. He conveyed that out of sheer responsibility, he feels obligated to follow the matches, however, he needs time off in order to truly rest.
"Right now, I'm stepping away from Dota, Spirit and the rest. I don't want to be angry or upset. Those feelings don’t allow you to actually rest because you feel engaged and have a measure of responsibility"
