Ilya “Kiritych” Ulyanov got his Twitch channel banned while streaming his team's match at the Winline Star Series tournament.
The esports player briefly reacted to the situation by posting a bunch of question marks on his Telegram channel.
Twitch administration explained that the reason for the ban was the display of “prohibited content related to gambling.” This category includes broadcasts featuring slots, roulette, betting, and other forms of gambling that violate the platform's rules.
The duration of the sanctions has not been specified. Twitch traditionally does not disclose details of such cases, so it is not yet known whether this will be a temporary suspension with the possibility of returning to streaming in a few days or weeks, or whether it is a more serious punishment.
Earlier, Vladimir “Maelstorm” Kuzminov confirmed the accusations against Alexander “Nix” Levin, explaining how he violated the rules.
