Gaimin Gladiators are clear favorites for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, but it's not ruled out that victory may still go to Team Liquid.

This opinion was shared by the well-known esports athlete and streamer Rinat 'KingR' Abdullin in an interview with Metaratings.

According to him, the lineup of tournament participants is intriguing, although he feels the absence of the well-known Team Spirit for complete satisfaction.

KingR emphasized that the groups are balanced, and while there are clear favorites, the intrigue remains. He also noted the potential of the European team Gaimin Gladiators to become the main favorite in Malaysia, but real results will be seen during the competition.

KingR expressed admiration for the stability of the "gladiators" and pointed out that they have no urgent reasons for roster changes after three Majors and a second-place finish at The International 12 (TI12). He also highlighted the threat posed by the Swedish team Team Liquid, considering them to be very strong and possibly having even better chances of success than Gaimin Gladiators. KingR also expressed interest in the performance of Chinese teams.
