Finn “Karrigan” Andersen stated that at the IEM Cologne Major 2026, he was at his lowest level of preparation, despite
Team Falcons’ victory in the grand final.
The player made this statement in an interview with Pley.
“It’s been a crazy year. On top of everything else, I played worse individually than ever before, but I still managed to win a Major with the worst rating of my career. Imagine if I played 10–15% better—at my usual level. So yes, I’m very proud.”
According to Finn “Karrigan” Andersen, the esports player is proud of his team’s result but believes that
Team Falcons would have performed even better if the captain had been able to demonstrate his usual level of gameplay. Nevertheless, Karrigan acknowledged that his team now needs a break before the next season, as opponents will be eager to avenge their losses to the IEM Cologne Major 2026 champions.
“Obviously, we need a break right now. It’s always tough to start a new season after a tournament like this. So we’ll need to get back to work. Nothing will come easy. Vitality and Spirit are frustrated after we beat them, and so is NAVI. They’ll be out for revenge, and we have to be ready. But for now, I’ll enjoy what we’ve achieved, and in a few days, I’ll get back to work.”

Team Falcons players following their victory at the IEM Cologne Major 2026.
