The South Korean esports organization T1 announced on Twitter that Souliya «JaCkky» Khoomphetsavong left the team.
Remind that T1 took third place in Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season 1 - Southeast Asia Upper Division and received a Major Wild Card.
According to Valve's new rules, removing a player from a team means losing 20% of the earned DPC points. T1 during the first season of Dota Pro Circuit already made changes in roster. Another change in roster before the Major means that the organization will earn 20% less points at ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021. In the future, this will be a problem for getting an invite to The International.
The reason for the changes in the T1 lineup is unknown. However, there are rumors that he will be replaced in the Major by Nyengnara «23savage» Tiramakhanon. 23savage reached the 12,000 MMR recently and currently he is a free agent.
Commentator and co-founder of Maincast studio Vitaly «v1lat» Volochay told about this situation in his Telegram channel:
T1, which qualified for the Major from Asia and will play Wild Card, decided to kick their carry JaCKky...
Unpleasant situation. They will lose another 20% of the points they earn, on top of the 20% lost for the change, but this is not so important if you do not expect to get to The International directly, which in the case of T1 will be difficult to do.
And the player is just removed. And now, instead of a Major slot, he has a week to find a team and at least somehow get into the second division through open qualifiers, otherwise the season is over for him.
It seems obvious that 23savage will appear in the team instead. And perhaps this is the gain of the roster. But damn, JaCkky is a pity...
Current roster of T1:
- Karl «Karl» Jayme
- Carlo «Kuku» Palad
- Kenny «Xepher» Deo
- Matthew «Whitemon» Filemon
