Mathis Jabbz Friesel expressed disappointment with the loss to
Azure Ray and believes that the the primary responsibility lies with him. Nevertheless, he is pleased with the overall result of the team, as
Team Liquid did not expect to reach the top three in the championship.
Jabbz shared these thoughts in a commentary during the tournament's Twitch broadcast.
Regarding the defeat against
Azure Ray, he stated:
I'm disappointed with the match result, that's obvious. Perhaps we didn't show our best game, and it's clear that we had a high chance of achieving an excellent result in this series. I must admit that the responsibility for the draft in the second game lies on me. We knew about the
Bounty Hunter, but we didn't provide the right answer to this hero. And in the third map... it's a new patch, many new heroes. It was a challenging series because it was very difficult to predict what could happen.
However, Jabbz added that he is pleased with the team's overall outcome since no one expected the team to make it to the top three. He also expressed gratitude to SabeRLighT- for their teamwork.
Recall that patch 7.35 introduced many new heroes and items to the world of Dota 2, as well as changed the balance of existing ones. The patch was released during the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 Dota 2 championship.
