Is it worth it to play Aghanim's Labyrinth?

For Dota 2 players, Christmas came early this year. On December 15, Valve decided to delight people and added the long-awaited event Aghanim's Labyrinth: Arcane Continuum and Battle Pass, which is full of all sorts of visual goodies.

Many have already checked out the contents of the Battle Pass, and over 600,000 players have already purchased it. However, let's pay attention to the event itself and whether it is worth your attention.

Aghanim the mighty is now Aghanim the many! And all because he did not read the user manual. Although, in his defense, no one reads manuals and instructions until something breaks. And now, due to a minor, multiverse-melding mishap, the useless Continuum Device has malfunctioned and manifested more magnificent Aghanims than a single reality can possibly maintain.

The entirety of existence might collapse upon itself. And worse still, Aghanim himself — all of himselfs! — is powerless to do a thing about it. Therefore, we ourselves will have to restore order. Moreover, why not diversify your Dota 2 adventures.

At first glance, the developers did not bother and simply copied the last event, Aghanim's Labyrinth. This is true, however Valve has tried to improve, change and finalize many game aspects.

Aghanim's Labyrinth 2021: Continuum Device is a game mode in which four heroes play. Like last time, players need to go through different locations, overcome hordes of various creeps, help each other and prepare for the battle with the final boss.

But this time, the developers have prepared updated locations and new mobs. And the most important difference - the main and final boss is not Aghanim, like last time, but Primal Beast.

Interesting what earlier data miners found a mention of him, along with a new arcana on Drow Ranger files. But many thought Primal Beast will be a new hero.

There are four players in Aghanim's Labyrinth. Heroes need to be chosen wisely, as the strategy of passing depends on it. Somewhere you need to kill many creeps at the same time, somewhere you need colossal damage to one target, tank, sometimes you need to buff an ally or save him. Players will have to go through many locations to choose from. Aghanim will help the heroes all the way and give hints.

There are several levels of difficulty and Aghanim's Blessings. During the passage, players receive Arcane Fragments that can be spent on various bonuses and unlock new heroes.

Up to level 3 you can ignore this. But then the labyrinth becomes more difficult, and it is just impossible to ignore this anymore. Indeed, during the passage there will be something missing.

The most important thing is hero choice. But not all of them are available for selection. Some are blocked. You can unlock them on Aghanim's Blessings matrix or opening Battle Pass.

This is what the whole event is for. For passing and completing tasks, you can get Battle Pass levels. All the goodies, Mirana persona, Hoodwink set, Drow Ranger arcane and much more have been covered before.

But all this is not available to all, you need to buy it. And this is the main problem of the whole event.

You can buy a Battle Pass which contains a lot, including heroes to complete the event. For example, buy the first 100 levels, and then try to reach the other rewards. But let's be honest, you have to try very hard.

So think twice: you just want to have some fun with your friends or spend a lot of time and energy to get something more.
