Oliver "Skiter" Lepko invited Aiden "iNsania" Sarkoi's entire roster at ESL One Berlin Major to a bar and paid for the team's drinks in order to prevent
Team Liquid, where iNsania was playing at the time, from winning the next day. Oliver "Skiter" Lepko was playing for
Tundra Esports at the tournament.
The cybersportsman told the relevant story as part of a podcast on Cap's YouTube channel.
"We were in Berlin, we dropped pretty early into the lower grid where we were supposed to play against
Tundra Esports.
Skiter met me and talked me into going to the bar with them because Rodjer was really urging everyone to go. Skiter then said: "If you go to the club, I'll pay for your alcohol, the alcohol of all the players who will be there, I'll pay for a limo to drive you and pick you back up."
He was very serious, I believed him, but we have a match against
Tundra Esports tomorrow. In the end
Tundra Esports couldn't beat us."
Oliver "Skiter" Lepko, who also participated in the podcast, admitted that he wanted to prevent
Team Liquid from winning the upcoming match. Despite Skiter's trickery,
Tundra Esports lost the match 2-0 and left the championship, sharing 5th - 6th place with
OG. Team Liquid reached the grand finals, where they lost to
Gaimin Gladiators 3:1.
Earlier, many fans criticized Oliver "skiter" Lepko because of
Team Falcons' defeat in the Elite League Grand Final, but Igor "iLTW" Filatov stood up for the cyber athlete.
