Bogdan "Iceberg" Vasilenko in an interview for Morf Youtube-channel, spoke about his representation of a good manager and the influence of Maria Gunina in the Winstrike Team and Alliance.
Iceberg said that Maria Gunina, as a manager, couldn’t solve the problems in the previous Winstrike roster:
Solve that problem, that they have? To be honest, I think not. Too hard. Teams, in fact, keep nobody close to them. There must be a huge benefit of the doubt so that you can be heard in the team if you yourself don’t play Dota. And then some kind of manager comes and says: “Guys, let's live together in peace, everything is fine.” It won't work out that way. Because players, and all people in generally, are selfish in their own way. Especially when we play Dota, win, and so on, some conditional person who does not understand Dota at all, comes to teach us.
Bogdan added to this, how in his opinion, a good manager should work:
A manager is someone who needs to make sure that you don’t worry at all for any reason other than playing Dota. A good manager, in my understanding, is a person who will simply do everything for you to come, and at the end of the day, even if you lost the series, you didn’t think that it was bad for you to play.
In addition, after the recent reshuffles in Alliance, Vasilenko claims that Gunina’s vote wasn’t taken into account in transfers:
The fact that Gunina is involved in Alliance transfers - complete nonsense. I know what happened there and how. Still, s4 is back, and this is the man who won The International for the Alliance team. So I don’t think that Gunina would have decided anything at all. And I'm not sure that she was generally considered for her vote at that moment.
On March 31, it became known that Neta "33" Shapira and Adrian "Fata" Trinks have left the Alliance. On April 1, Gustav "s4" Magnusson has returned to the roster. And on May 23, Alliance leased Artsiom "fng" Barshak from Gambit Esports for a period of 2 months.
