How to craft items in the Dota 2 x Monster Hunter crossover

A massive collaboration between Dota 2 and the popular video game series Monster Hunter has started, where players will have to craft unique sets for heroes themselves.

To craft sets, special materials are needed, divided into four categories: common, uncommon, rare and ultra-rare. Each category includes several variants — a total of 36 types, necessary for creating specific parts of the sets

How to get crafting materials

Materials can be earned through hunting heroes. Before each match, the player chooses an opponent who will be the target. For killing the chosen hero, participating in kills, and winning the game, materials for crafting are awarded. In case of a loss, the player receives only part of the possible materials, while a win grants the maximum amount of materials possible

Free crafting and the Expedition Bundle

At the start of the event each user gets a Palico courier of one type. Players can craft six basic sets with classic costumes, familiar to Monster Hunter fans, for free. To create rarer and exclusive sets, the "Expedition Bundle" must be purchased or all available materials from other sets must be collected

The Dota 2 x Monster Hunter collaboration started on the night of November 11, 2025 and will last until February 6, 2026, offering players new mechanics, crafting and unique hero customization options. It should be noted that players need to collect all rewards before February 6, because after that, crafting probably wont be available anymore.
