Janne ‘Gorgc’ Stefanovski thinks Dota 2 matchmaking should enable gamers to see their future teammates’ communication language, given that the existing language barrier between players of various regions has always been a big issue. In this regard, the streamer is however not sure about how to go about it.
On his personal Twitch stream the content creator communicated his opinion on this.
“It would be good to have some way of knowing what language your teammates are speaking beforehand.” “I think that problem has been in Dota for very long time.”
But there is no concrete solution, but I am sure they do not want to play with English-speaking players those who don’t know English. Therefore, it would be great if they could include the option where you choose which same-griefing-language you can use for communication in game.”
Janne ‘Gorgc’ Stefanovski was prompted to make his comment by numerous complaints from Southeast Asian users on Reddit about Chinese players who do not understand English at all. Their participation in rated matches frequently causes difficulties with interaction due to the fact that representatives of other countries have no idea what Chinese say as well.
Earlier Janne ‘Gorgc’ Stefanovski commented Ivan ‘MinD_ContRoL’ Ivanov’s move to
Shopify Rebellion.
