In February 2024, the city of Kazan, Russia, will host the largest Russian LAN Dota 2 tournament in history — Games of the Future 2024. Organized by the All-Russian Federation of Phygital Sports, the event will gather sixteen of the world’s best teams to compete for a prize pool of $1 million USD. The tournament will run from February 19 to 25 at the Kazan Expo international exhibition center, a world-class multifunctional exhibition complex that provides the perfect venue for this grand event.

Kazan Expo Games of the Future 2024 promises to be a highlight on the esports calendar, thanks to its unique format. The competition will include a group stage with best-of-three (bo3) matches and two playoff stages. The tournament's distinctive feature will be a 'modified' GSL system, adding intrigue and unpredictability to the competition. Teams have been directly invited by the organizers or selected through victories in previous events, ensuring a high level of skill and exciting battles for the championship title.

- Four groups of four teams in a modified GSL format

- Top team from each group advances to Quarterfinals of the playoffs
- 2nd and 3rd place teams from each group advance to Round 1 of the playoffs
- Bottom team from each group is eliminated
