Seleri Hillenkamp of
Gaimin Gladiators has been seeking Valve's attention to fix a gap regarding the imbalance that has been persisting in the Meta and well, he is not the only one facing this issue.
Seleri has sought to explain the Meta gap in an interview at BLAST.
"I’ll speak for myself. Personally, I strongly dislike this current patch. It's frustrating that it's lasted so long. It's not a conspiracy or anything, but it's annoying to remember past patches that were much better suited to us.
This has happened twice now, where a less favourable patch arrives right before finals. And now, we've had this same patch for months. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. Many players are probably tired of banning Alchemist every game, and now we have Lycan and Nyx destroying supports”
Seleri also pointed out that him and his team certainly have it hard with a couple of current Meta heroes but it does extend itself to several other teams specifically outside of
Gaimin Gladiators. He mentioned this issue does escalate from ranked matches, but also question the developers need to do something.
"I'd love to see some changes. Hopefully, a larger patch is coming, but even a small one would be great, nerfing some of these heroes that are ruining the game, not just in competitive play, but also in matchmaking. It definitely impacts motivation when you're playing on the same patch over and over"
The gamer further pointed out that no one would complain if the patch was released during BLAST Slam II. He made a note though that those updates should be implemented only in the form of mini patches.
"Now that would be fun, but hopefully, the patch is not super big because then everyone will get a headache. On second thoughts, I probably didn't think about that [new patch dropping midway], but I'm down for it. Just give us a patch!"
Lastly,
Gaimin Gladiators captain expressed his thoughts on Dyrachyo and his recent rise to fame.
