Marcus "Ace" Hoelgaard, the offlaner of Gaimin Gladiators, stated that the reason for the team's losses is the prolonged adaptation to the new Dota 2 patch, sometimes even requiring the team to adopt the style of other teams.

The corresponding statement was made in an interview with the Medium publication.

"But before, there weren't teams close to us. Now we have to look at some teams and borrow what they do. In this sense, perhaps we should catch up to Team Falcons"
