G2 Announces a Roster Change for CS2

Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia has been removed from G2’s Counter-Strike 2 roster and moved to the bench.

The announcement was made on the esports organization’s X page.

The esports player had been with the team for a year. The club competed with him at the IEM Cologne Major 2026, finishing the tournament in the top 8. Artem “r1nkle” Moroz, who previously played for Ninjas in Pyjamas, will take the player’s place on the team. Álvaro “SunPayus” García’s future career plans are currently unknown.

As a reminder, there were earlier reports about a possible move by Damian “Kyxsan” Stoilkovski to Aurora’s CS2 roster.
