Sidney “sidde” Macedo, coach of FURIA Esports, stated that the team does not want to let Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo go and will try to convince him to play at least one more season in the CS2 roster.
The coach made this statement during an interview with OFFSTAGE
“I won’t hide it: every time FalleN starts thinking about retirement or mentions a final date, we try to push the limits further. And we will keep trying to convince him to play next year too, although in the end it’s his decision, and he already made it. Every time this topic comes up, teammates go to him and ask him to stay longer. It’s hard to imagine the team without FalleN. Of course, sooner or later it will happen, but it’s not something we wanted”
Sidde explained that whenever FalleN starts thinking about retirement the players immediately try to change his mind. Judging by his statement, this has already happened multiple times before. Based on what he said, it can be assumed that previous attempts to convince the player helped keep him on the roster for several extra seasons
However, it is still unknown whether this strategy will work again this time, or if FalleN will finally decide to leave FURIA and end his professional CS2 career.
