Artyom 'Fng' Barshak believes that Igor 'iLTW' Filatov has no desire to return to competitive Dota 2, as the player may be more interested in playing matchmaking on streamers, getting less stress. The cybersportsman also believes that the reason may be the wave of hatred that hit iLTW after the departure of
OG.
The pro-player shared his respective opinion during a private Twitch broadcast.
"Yeah he doesn't want to, I guess. I think Igorek... Well, I can't say that though, he's always played interesting in his own way. Igorek got a lot of hate after OG, let's put it that way. I thought maybe he didn't want to play because of that. Maybe he just doesn't want to play competitive. Because sitting down and playing Dota... I can't tell on chill, because you've seen his streams. Well, you just sit and stream, you get some money from it. And it's less stressful.
Igor has this style of play, let's say, how can I describe it... he's always moving forward. That's a good quality in him, let's say."
This is most likely referring to the OGA Dota PIT Season 4: Europe CIS tournament, where Igor 'iLTW' Filatov last played for the
OG squad as a substitute. The player's last team was
Nigma Galaxy, where Igor 'iLTW' Filatov played for over 12 months until he left the roster in May 2023.
Recall that despite Artem 'Fng' Barshak's statement, the cyber athlete himself admitted that his career was ruined due to complications after COVID-19.
