Artem "Fng" Barshak, the captain of
Virtus.pro, revealed that he took a break from Dota 2 due to mental issues. This was before his transition to the current team.
The esports player shared this information during an interview with analysts and commentators on the BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 qualifiers on Twitch.
"I had some small mental issues. I was streaming, playing games. Essentially, I wasn't doing anything useful for life. I was just relaxing and rebooting"
Fng did not specify the exact nature of his challenges. It could have been depression or fatigue from playing Dota 2, but he emphasized the need for a reboot. After this period, the esports player returned to the professional scene.
Recall that earlier, Fng made an unexpected strong criticism towards the Dota 2 community.
