First day of the DPC 2021. What is going wrong?

The long-awaited DPC season was started on January 4, after a year break due to COVID-19. Along with the open qualifiers, the first matches of Southeast Asia closed qualifiers were started. Tournament operator PGL is responsible for hosting games in this region. But, unfortunately, there were some problems with the tournament organization. The PGL did not broadcast qualifying matches.
A lot of new and unknown teams without the right to make mistakes compete for a chance to take place in the next stage of qualifiers. As practice shows, this is rarely broadcasted by studios.
But problems with broadcast were at closed qualifiers as well. Where were a lot of famous teams with a huge fanbase. Vitaly «v1lat» Volochay suggested the possible reason for the broadcast problem on Twitter.

The situation was saved by the community streamers who were streaming the games. But in addition to the standard no advertising requirement on broadcasts, PGL demanded a delay of 15 minutes. Which caused a wave of discontent among the community streamers, since there was no official broadcast.

The problem was discussed on Reddit as well. In their official Twitter PGL said that they reduce the delay to 5 min as was proposed by the community.

It is still unknown if there will be any official broadcasts of the closed qualifiers. The tournament organizers and Valve have not commented on this situation yet.
