Insider: Evil Geniuses are leaving esports

The esports organization Evil Geniuses plans to completely shut down all its esports initiatives by 2024.

SBJ notes that EG is actively seeking to sell its other esports assets. However, as of the material's publication, there have been no offers to purchase. If the club ceases to exist, it will be a loss for the industry, as EG is one of the oldest esports organizations, founded in 1999.

Earlier, EG exited the American LCS league in League of Legends. According to sources, the club was considering selling its slot in the league, but ultimately, Riot Games decided to exclude it from the competition.
