The organizers of ESL One Birmingham have changed the list of participating teams: the reason has been given

1win will not be participating in ESL One Birmingham due to visa issues, so the tournament organizers have given their slot to OG.

The announcement was made on ESL's official Twitter page.

"Despite extending the visa deadline to 12:00 CEST yesterday for all teams, 1WIN were unable to field an eligible roster in time for ESL One Birmingham 2024 due to visa issues.

The next EEU team in the qualifiers for the slot are also unable to attend for similar reasons. The next eligible team to be invited will be OG, which came in second at the WEU qualifiers and have already confirmed their ability to enter the UK"

The organizers clarified that the slot originally meant for 1win was supposed to go to another team from Eastern Europe, but they also faced visa problems. Therefore, OG was given the opportunity to compete in the tournament as they confirmed their ability to travel to the UK.

It's worth noting that the tournament features a prize pool of $1 million and a significant amount of EPT points. This is crucial as it could lead to a direct invite to Riyadh Masters 2024 in the future.
